Fay's Crock Pot Cajun Boiled Peanuts

1 bag raw, in-shell peanuts

Zatarain's boil-in-bag crab boil
salt

Put rinsed peanuts in a full-size crock pot. Empty one packet of Zatarain's boil-in-bag crab boil, 1/4 cup salt, and fill with water. Cook on high for 20 hours. Done :)

This recipe is savory and just mildly spicy. It echoes some of the roadside boiled peanuts we find on the country roads in southern Alabama, but is simple enough to make anytime.

Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your liking. Recently I used Lawry's seasoned salt and it worked great. (And now that I've seen JB's recipe, I'm going to try the refrigerating, then re-heating process! They never can be too saturated in that juice...)
