Green peanuts and salt

Good Mornin', could you tell me how much salt to add to 15 pounds of green Vidalia jumbos simmerin' in 4.5 gallons of water?

I've been puttin' a half cup of salt to the gallon of water for the green peanuts and they've seemed to be way to salty to me.
