Boiled blanched peanuts

Bought blanched peanuts for cooking, would these be dried raw? They're not roasted. I soaked them overnight in salted water, then boiled them in fresh water till soft then added salt at the end of the cook. They taste like cooked beans. Could I use these as a replacement in my bean curries do you think?

Blanched peanuts are not the same as dried raw peanuts, and I have never boiled blanched peanuts, so I cannot advise you about this.

Regardless, it sounds like it worked out since they taste like cooked beans.

Since blanched peanuts have been placed in boiling water, then cooled quickly, then blanched peanuts might boil well. I don't know. My only concern would be whether the quick cooling after blanching changes the later boiling properties.

Peanuts are beans, so why not try them in your bean curries?

I love using boiled peanuts in place of beans in my recipes.

Thanks Bret, they were delicious I added a cupful to my chickpea curry!
The balance I drained and dried out in a very very low oven and we munched them finished!
Battling to find raw dried peanuts, I ordered my blanched from Amazon UK....do you think the way I've processed dry blanched peanuts they will still be as nutritional after all the boiling and drying?
Love this site!
Thank you
